Astro Origine separates astronomical calculation from traditional interpretation. Positions are computed from JPL ephemeris data; interpretation draws on a curated registry of traditional sources, built progressively.

Calculation vs interpretation
We do not present astrology as scientific prediction. The calculations are astronomical; the interpretations are symbolic and traditional, offered for reflection.
Separated traditions
We keep traditions distinct and labelled rather than blending them into a generic 'traditional astrology'.
Hellenistic
Greco-Roman astrology — e.g. Ptolemy, Vettius Valens, Dorotheus, Firmicus Maternus.
Vedic / Jyotiṣa
Indian sidereal astrology — e.g. Bṛhat Jātaka and classical compendia.
Arabic / Perso-Arabic medieval
Medieval transmission and elaboration — e.g. Abū Maʿshar, al-Bīrūnī, al-Qabīṣī.
Byzantine
Late-antique syntheses transmitting earlier doctrine — e.g. Rhetorius, Hephaistio of Thebes.
Confidence & verification
Every rule records its source, a confidence level, and a cross-verification status. Reports only cite rules that pass these checks; everything else remains in a research corpus, clearly separated.
- A rule needs a linked source and high or medium confidence.
- Its verification must be primary, secondary, or cross-verified.
- Its extraction must be reviewed or a short paraphrase.
- Its source scope must be direct or a broad chapter.
- Rejected, uncertain, disputed, source-only and deferred rules stay out of reports.
What is implemented
Current premium natal reports use the astronomical chart plus a Hellenistic-compatible layer: seven classical bodies, planetary natures, major configurations, Ascendant, Whole Sign houses, classical house rulers, domicile dispositors, sect, Fortune/Spirit lots, limited place strength, planetary joys and source-audited essential dignities.
Research corpus
Vedic, Arabic medieval, Byzantine and many Hellenistic records are stored for audit and future implementation, not silently blended into reports.
What is deferred
Full accidental dignity, reception, dispositor chains, final dispositor, sidereal zodiac, nakshatras, dashas, other lots, profections, solar revolutions, horary and elections remain deferred until the engine supports them honestly.
What we do not claim
We do not claim that all ancient astrology has been recovered or implemented, and we do not invent sources or rules. The registry grows carefully and transparently.
Planned modules (not yet active)
Beyond traditional astrology, these symbolic modules are audited and planned. None is active yet, and each is positioned honestly — separate from ancient astrology.
Numerology
Pythagorean V1 is live as symbolic reflection (life path, expression, soul urge, personality, personal year); Chaldean and Kabbalistic variants remain deferred. Not prediction.
Tarot
A separate symbolic card-reading tradition offered as reflective guidance — not ancient astrology and not deterministic prediction.
Mirror hours
Modern symbolic reflection prompts around repeated clock times. Not ancient astrology and not predictive certainty.
Temporal readings
Symbolic daily, weekly, monthly and yearly cycle readings — never deterministic predictions, and no medical, legal or financial advice.
